450 Yamaha......very soon.

From a pretty good source, the new Yamaha 450 sport quad will be at the dealer's show. I think the Yamaha show is in June. They expect it to totally dominate racing and devistate sales of the Z-400. I would guess it will be available by fall. We've heard this before, but this was from an "industry source".
No word on what it will be called.

Sounds good.
Thanks for that information.
Hey while your there you think you could show them how to make a little raptor. My daughter needs a new small quad but what I see don't cut it.

I love Yamaha, the one brand I can't get that I really want. I built the Raptorette using Blaster parts, just to show them how it can be done using parts off their own shelf. I would bet dollars to doughnuts they've built one too, just 'cause they have guys paid to do that kind of stuff. If anything, the Raptorette is over-chassised. It's suspension and handling could easily handle twice or even three times the power.
But that is what makes it a very safe ride for my little guy, now 6 years old.
(see signature link if you don't know what we're talking about)
All the minis out there suck. The mini-Predator is the best thing out there, and it still has single A-arm suspension. I wanted my kid on something safe and fun to ride, and that meant real suspension and handling. 7" of suspension on a mini is real and I proved it.
Three wishes for Yamaha. The 450 sport (that's lookin' good), a true mini Raptor (not likely) and a dealership for yours truly. BTW Grand Opening for the shop is June 7th, music, food, Freestyle MX riders, Mudpit giveaway. Hidden in an easter egg shell in a large mudpit is the key to a new Suzuki Ozark.

Thanks for the infor Fourlix - I consider you a reliable source so this is good nws.
Yep, in a year or 2 I'll be looking for a mini quad for my kid. He's only 18 months old now but he does ride a Power Wheels 12 volt quad very well (I'm so proud of him) and at the pace he's learning It won't bee too long.....
