I need feed back on Cannondales. I currently have a 440ex and with the price of C-dales reducing, I am looking to buy one. I need to know what's the best pipe, mapping and what's the most common mechanical failure. I race motocross on the west coast. Thanks

 

o.k. I'll reply. As far as the best pipe, I believe HMF offers the best results although it may be a little loud. Mapping... get the motto map since you into moto-x. Mechanical failures, it really depends on the year and vin number of the bike. The first thing I would be worried about is the stud update and stage 8 kit wouldn't be bad either. Ask cannondale27 for the stage 8. He's on this site. Vavle covers are a problem also and their really isn't a (fix) for them yet. cannodale did address the problem but some of the people are still having corrosion on the inside of them due to coolant fluid eating the powdercoating. Anyways, hope this helps.

There has been a rumor of a 450 possibly coming out, but I wouldn't pass up a 03 if it were 5k or less. I'm waiting it out to see what happens. Even if they start producing new models, the good deals on the past models won't slip imo.

 

I have a friend who has three "as new" 'Dales he would like to sell. They were bought in Dec. and have only a few rides on them. One is his, another his wifes and the third is his son's. They haven't been anywhere but sand and pretty much babied. I'm in Bakersfield and can contact him for you if you might be interested.
