Hi Guys. I am new to this board so please take it easy on me. I ordered a 2003 TBX Artic Cat with a 60 inch plow and winch. Mainly will be used for plowing my drive.(200 Feet and some incline to it) I have been reading up and I guess they move snow pretty good, correct? I sure hope so after last winter. I am in NE Pa. Used to clear it with a 4 wheel drive tractor but almost got killed sliding down into the roadway! Ordered chains for the ATV! Hope I made the right decision. Got the bike for 6900.00 "Out the DOor" with pplow and winch. ANy input would be appreciated. THanks!

well congrats on the new cat. you know i have a 250 foot driveway with a slight downhill also, kind of funny. and i got a 60" plow also. we get lots of snow out here in northern BC and we get to use the plow alot i just thought id say when you use the plow to do the driveway afterwords unhook the winch and spool it out some so its not binding or overlaping itself that way it wont get flatend out and start to kink. i found out the hard way, i took the plow off one day it was nice and thought i would go for a little ride well i got stuck, and went to pull out the winch cable and it would only come out about a foot apon ferther inspection i notist that from doing my driveway with all the up and down with the blade the cable was geting loose then tight and now it was stuck i went back to my garadge about 200 feet away [ i was stuck in my back yard] got my comealong hooked it to a tree and pulled the cable out. anyways now it has a big kink in it. ps if you want to see what can realy do put some good tires on it. i did and the differance was like night and day. ANYWAYS enjoy the new cat.

I have plowed for 2 seasons with my 60" cycle country plow, on a 2002 400 straight axle CAT. I have never had to use chains. Just raise the blade a little if its to deep. It's plowed on Ice, wet snow, deep snow,
doesn't seem to matter.

i have a mini tac/hr meter on mine its a brigs and straton. i mounted it to the panel that has the key and gear selector. the instructions said to wrap the red wire around the plug wire three to four times, dont do no more than that, i put mine around about ten times because the wire was so long and when i started it up it was running funny [seemed to be misfireing] so i took the wire off and wraped it around 3 times and cut off the extra and it works great now.it takes mor time to find a good ground then it does to hook it upi grounded mine to a bolt on the front rack just under the plastic body panel. hope this helps.
