Wow, old post, lol. The '04 axles are stronger but they do still break. The angle is to much it seems, if they would drop the quad 1" I'm sure it would help alot.

 

I had a CV boot break and I has a hell of a time getting the CV off the axle. I believe that the CV's are not pressed in right at the factory an that is why they keep snapping. I brought mine to the dealer and he said oh well SOL!! here is the number for AC..That got me nowhere cause the lady on the phone said they don't deal with the "customer" only dealers...That's bogus!! When I gave them a stink, the dealer all of the sudden called me 3 days later and said that AC would only charge 1/2 price for the axle..That's still $160.00....This should not be happening on a "all terrain vehicle"...

 

Make the change to a solid rear axle and you will never have this problem again.

 

i broke 4 axels and destroyed my front diff on my 03 500 befor i lost faith in it and traded it.
and its to bad because that cat kicked but anywhere i went.
and i had no lift or spacers just big tires.

 

ps.
all 4 of my axels broke by the boot where it gos into the rear diff.

 

Well, I busted a rt front axle on the 650 this weekend. Next day one of the boys busted the same one on his P700. Gonna go Gorillas all 'round I think.


Edit: Or not......pretty pricey those things are.....Holy SH%$
