Sorry to bug you again.
I put the tach on the bike and noticed it idles about 1600 rpm. Is this correct? What does yours idle at?
I remember you said that if you wrap the wire too much, the bike may miss, but I was wondering if the wire would cause the bike to idle too high. I wrapped the wire 4 times. Thanks again!

hi again. i went out lastnight and i checked out the idle when it was warm and mine idles around 1600 rpms also, so i got out my owners manul and on page 132 it says it should idle at 1250 to 1350 hot. i thought it idled a little fast but it dosent move when i put it into gear so i thought it was ok. plus i had it to the dealer about a month ago to have the valves ajusted and he said the idle was good. but i think i will turn it down a little and see how it is then. Thanks for the question it made me take a closer look at the bike.

Mudblaster,
Mine was idleing at about 1600 too and I also took a look at the manual. Mine said the same thing too so I turned mine down to about 1350 also. Shouldn't hurt anyhting, shoud it? Thanks for the help!
