Will it fit on folding ramps?
#1
I'm picking up my new 500i manual on Sat. and I was wondering if any of you have used or do use folding ramps to load your machines. The ramps that I have fold in the center and are probably what I would consider a standard size(6' long, approx. 41"wide). Will I have any problems loading it with these and if so what type or brand of ramps would you suggest and where do I get them. Thanks

I use the folding ramps and love them ,money well spent .
much better and safer then wooden ramps ,I forget but I think the capacity in something like 1200 lb ,600 lb a ramp .

I got a folding ramp for my ac, but it is not wide enough. didn't think about it when I bought it. You could take the hinge pins out and spread the ramp, but then the hook and cable that attaches to the tail-gate
would not work. I put a 2x6 beside the ramp, it's not pretty, but it works. Funny thing, I bought the ramp at arctic cat dealer
P.S. AC wheelbase is 47.5 wide ramp 41 inches wide

I have a 50" wide x 76" long trifold ramp. I think it's a Fulton from Northern Tool. The 50" works great on the full size atvs. I wouldn't want anything smaller. I almost got the the smaller one they had and it's a good thing I didn't because it never would have worked.

Are you sure your ramps are 41" wide? That sounds pretty small. My ramps are from API Outdoors, tri-fold aluminum and thy are 50" wide. I wouldn't want anything much smaller than that.

Just for future reference the ramps that I have did work. The edge of the ramp was in the middle of the tire on each side. I don't know if I would like that if I were loading it into my truck but I have a trailer that I'll us almost all of the time so it's not that big of a deal. I haven't got to ride the thing yet and it is eating me up I can't wait until tomorrow.
