I mean that the axel actually cuts the rut in the middle instead of riding on top of it.

No I'm just saying that has anyone noticed that the axel cuts through the rut to give more traction. Instead of floating on top of the rut you cut it so you're tires grip instead of spinning.I am just asking if the ACT does that? Voodoo- Where did you get the extention plate?

Guess im just stupid, i dont get ya sorry. The rear axel runs from rear wheel to rear wheel. The axel and diff get caught in the mud a lot and ends up dragging along. Shrug. I bought the skid extention from the dealer.

I drag my diff alot of my Kawi and I get through most times. If your just playing around in ruts and really not trying to get through them then it doesn't really mater. If you want to get through peoples ruts without getting stuck then who says you need to go into peoples ruts? Cross the ruts sideways or on some angle. Stradle them if you have to. We always think its the right thing or mocho thing to do, go through the ruts, even if it means getting stuck. Do the smart thing and stradle them or cross them diagonally. We don't think about that when we ride we just want to have fun most of the time.
