Thinkin' 'bout purchasing a replacement set of hand guards. The A/C OEM hand guards lasted about one month in the woods. I'm considering the Maier Deluxe Woods Pro aluminum hand guards with the Full Coverage plastic hand guards that fit over top. Has anybody tried these? Should I purchase the standard aluminum hand guards or the ones for tapered handelbars? Did they install fairly easily? The A/C handguards have spacers that are installed betwen the hand guard and the clamp on the handlebars and were a royal pain in the rectum to install. Thanx in advance!

I have them on both my 454. Had to shape them a bit but they work fine . Sorry can't remember if I got standard or tapered.
