thought that you didn't have a quad and that you were deciding between an 03 04??? but now you say you had a 03, huh?? it should have been no question if you already had an 03 why would you buy another one??

I did have a '03. I totaled the '03 out after only placing 33 miles on it. Because of this, I never got chance to really try it out and form a good opinion. As you can see, I am a new member here and purchased the '03 before I discovered this forum.
Sorry if I mislead anyone, I figured there were members here with much more knowledge on the two model years then me and would offer their opinion. I want to thank those who offered their suggestions.

I too think you did the right choice by going with the '04. You are getting more than just improved axles & brakes, don't forget the extended flares for better rider protection, Radial tires, Digital instruments, better choke, reciever hitch, Electric shift 4x4/4x2 & all for another $500.
Was the '03 you had before insured?

Yes, my '03 was insured. I had debated on if I should get it or not when I was looking at purchasing one. Although it is a major pain in the rear fighting with insurance companies with claims, It paid to have insurance on my machine.

insurance is a must, my buddy didn't have insurance on his machine once when he totaled it. fixing the machine wasn't a big deal it was the other machine that he hit along with the 2 people on it that had to go to the hospital!! he is still paying for it. it sucks but he should have listened to everyone when they told him to insure it. if you are going to ride on public trails it is a must, especially with some of the idiots that are riding around on them!
