Default Dealership woes continue. help needed

BSA is right, for the best results you need to put it in writing.
It takes time, be patient. But you will get satisfaction.

Default Dealership woes continue. help needed

just to update everyone: i got everything worked out with my dealer. after a long discussion i decided to pick up the snowmobile and accessories. i have to say that arctic cat was very helpful through the all the things my dealer did. i had them document my phone calls and all the problems that i had. when it came to the accessories arctic cat told me that they had nothing to do with them, if the dealer didn't ask for money down it was their fault. my and my dealer are once again on good terms. still unsure if i trust the mechanic enough to take my machine there again but i trust that my quad will run good so i shouldn't have to worry about it. (I HOPE) thanks for all the support and info guys i appreciate it.

This sounds like the problem i had with a polaris dealer in ohio. they really screwed me over and i am still in the battle with them and it has been over a year. I bought a polaris last year and by the end of the weekend the transmission belt had gone out, the carb was shot and so was the fuel injector and i returned and and said that i didn't want something with so many problems. They told me that i couldn't have my money back so i went and canceled the checks on them. they told me that it was going to cost them alot of money and i lost 300 buck in the downpayment. I wish i kknew what to do. i e-mailed polaris and they didn't really care about the sale. That's why no one should buy any type of polairs piece of crap.

All you did to complain was send one email over the course of a year, and you now complain about no results?

Think "Registered Mail". No one is going to think you are serious if all you do is send an email.

Have you ever been into something (say church choir) and you wanted out (meaning you didn't want to be involved anymore) you looked for "The way out"
Where have I heard that before?

LuvtheMud,

I was about to call the waaabulance to render aid for all the whining going on here. There is likely more to this story - but I find it intriguing that you report the dealer screwing you. It sounds to me that it was you who did the screwing. You renege on a purchase contract and yet expect purchase discounts? And for what truthful reason does the dealer wish you to take your service somewhere else? Could it be that the machine is abused or your checks are no good? When you choose to be vague it lends itself to guilt as it does innocence. But the lucky dealer does get the benefit of paying interest on inventory not wanted. And this was because you were forced into buying a house! How terrible for you. And then you post here looking for sympathy. What is truly amazing is that you found some.

Gee, WhoDatInDaMud, sounds like you are the AC dealer who screwed this poor fella.
Get a life. You sell trash, you get trashed back. Period.

Well go figure, i try to share my story, but people turn around and bash the buyer. I am trying to help those first time buyer llike myself from getting trash from dealers. You know that it's really bad whn the city detective is on the buyers side and trying to helpget the story straight for the courts. This dealer is on his last legs for working in our little city. He has sold aquiet a few 4 wheelers without their registration anlong with the one i purchased, so before you even start to think about bashing the me the buyer, how about you putting yourself into that position and being a first time buy. Big mistake for anyone trying to buy a quad, do not pay the dealer any cash.

actually whodatindamud, i didn't back out on anything until the dealer told me to go elsewhere (that is something that you shouldn't do especially for warrenty work) the dealers excuse was "the mechanic is too busy with boats right now to look at you wheeler anymore, take it home." so i called arctic cat took it to a different dealer. my dealer assured me that all drivetrain components and transmission parts were sound, however the second dealer told me that the motor had never been opened to look at the transmission (i thought that it was a little funny that even after turning the screws out the dealer decided to put the paint back on them!) so the second dealer looked at tranny and said that it would be ok, along with the differential, since i blew out one before and the first dealer put the WRONG one in, because he thought that the auto one would work and he couldn't find the part number for the manual diff!! so he ordered the auto instead (that is not incompetent at all!) then when i take it back his words are " yeah didn't think that it would work, i will get the other one for you." So anyway after i get it back from the second dealer i go up north and start to hear a funny noise like a stone in my brake, next thing i iknow the rear tire locks up throws me into a tree, I get off the quad and see my caliper and brake lines entagled in my wheel along with my axle sheared off at the cv. yeah not a big deal at all, happens all the time! then following that i decided to not purchase the sled, so everything was fine they said they thought they could sell it. (oh yeah and as for the interest, my dealer doesn't finance new machines when they buy them so they didn't have to pay any) well the deal was that i woiuld pay them $500 cash for backing out on top of the $300 deposit that i lost and they would keep the accesories on the shelf. I agreed done deal right? NOPE. i get a call and they say that they need me to pick up the helmet and jacket they have no room on the shelves for them (ONE MORE HELMET AND JACKET?!?! the only helmet and jacket that they have that match the sled?) that makes no sense at all. So i say ok, i did up my reciepts and say that i will drop off 1019.66 (500 cash plus $519 for helmet and jacket, the price we agreed on) they say no that is not right you owe us $1080 because the 10% discount is only good when you buy a machine with them!! yeah they weren't trying to screw me at all! No cant be: dealers care about making customers happy not making every penny off them they can!! well as i said in a later post i went back to the dealer because i want a sled and do not want to wait to order one next year, they say "how the wheeler running, get it all fixed?" ISN"T THE DEALER SUPPOSED TO FIX A WARRENTIED MACHINE!! yeah i fixed it all by myself, i called my personal arctic cat representative and got it fixed, WHAT AN IDIOT!! i tell him about the brakes and he says "wow, i thought that i checked the brakes, maybe not i can't remember." (that is not stupidity at all considering that he only fixes about one quad a month tops! what really pissed me off was when i called arctic cat they said that when warrenty work is done on a machine the dealer fills out work invoices and they keep them on file, my dealer did all the work off the clock so nothing was ever documented. once again that is not screwing me at all!! if my quad had broke down a day after my warrenty was up i would have been sitting in a pile of sh** because my dealer figured that he wouldn't take the time to fill out an invoice, not to mention get paid for his work!! yeah i would say that they treated me fairly and just, wouldn't you? is that how you get treated at your dealer? I don;t like being lubed up and drilled in the rear!! all this on top of the fact that i live next to them have all my life, and i never once gave them a time limit to get my quad fixed i knew he was busy and told him that as long as i had it back before my next trip up north it was fine. I bought my quad in Febuary in the first 5 months of ownership they had it for almost 3!! yeah that is understandable, i don't want to drive what i pay for i just like having the title and paying insurance for it when it is sitting in the shop! Dealers must love you!!
