I have a 2003 Arctic Cat 400 with a manual transmission and ACT rear suspension 4x4. When I go through mudholes and deep puddles or just go fast through one my radiator steams for about 10 minutes. My dad has the same but it is an automatic with a FIS rear suspention and his never really steames? What is going on this has been going on for a while now. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!

 

Both my 375 and 650 do that. Its just water getting on hot and warm parts, that's all. I had a Polaris that did the same thing and all 3 of my brother's Bombardier Rally's do it, too.

 

maybe your dads dosent run as hot as yours.
or maybe you ride yours harder then him and thats why yours might run hotter then his.
is your fan always going, maybe liston to both bikes when your beside each other after a good run and see if both fans are running.
maybe you hit the watter faster than him and more splashes up on yours than his.
i wouldent worry about it unless it overheating or somthing.

 

Well I definatly ride harder than my dad and I do go into the water faster. Also my fan is louder than my dads. His reves higher than mine how would I run hotter?
