i've loss the use of my right arm for a few months and want to find a left hand throttle for either my arctic cat 500i TRV or the 2k1 polaris 500 ho.

does anyone know of a product that will work?

I don't know a specific product, but I do know they make them so you can add a 2nd throttle on the left side. I think it's more common on sleds than quads (so you can lean off the side on slopes, and still use the gas.)

 

I have a buddy that lost his right hand in a boating accident, he has a Honda that he simply flipped the throttle cable to the left side. It had to mount upside down so has to run it with his middle finger. This allows him to shift the electronic shift buttons with his thumb. You would never know anything was wrong with him. Plus the dudes nuts. Plus this would be real easy to do and simple to make it temporary. Hope that helps.
