Default Carb Needle

I have a 2002 Arctic Cat 400I 4X4
There is what looks like a flexable needle ( about 3-4 inches) coming from the carb with a plastic **** on it.
Does anybody know what this is?
Is it a mixture control for altitude?
Thanks
Terry

Yup, it is a idle speed adj. Your owners manual should have a description of what and to maintain your machine.
