is the muffler on a 02 500i the same as the 03 500i

 

I belive it is the same, on the 04's they did change the mounting, but it still looks and sounds the same. I see you are looking for better performance in your first post. Check out this thread.

I belive the 02 500's had a smaller carb and slightly lower compression ratio.

 

thank you 1wook, the reason why i asked was i was on dennis kirk and saw the only muffler i could find for a 500 arctic cat was on a 03 500 4x4 made by fmf. i was just wondering if it would also work on a 02 500i. once again thanks for the help.
