Default Is Tranny Trick worth it!!

What are the benefits of the tranny trick. I just added a jet kit for more power, but still looking for more. I have to beat my buddy's 500 at the pulls again this year. Let me know i would like to try it, and how much does it cost.

Tranny trick costs nothing, just a bit of time (an hour if you are drinking beer) the benefits are better low end(not huge gains) top speed stays about the same. I did it to mine, and also muffler mod, it is better in the mud now, no sputtering at all, but I dont think you will beat a 500 with a 400 in pulls. Oh yea gas milage was basically unaffected also. Rice rocket what are green headlight strobes??

The only "trany trick" I've heard of is for the auto's. I think the originator of it was minehunter, fangoelgato has the pictures of it. http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/fangoelgato/my_photos

DVX32....the tranny trick basically puts more preload on your clutch spring....which means your using more revs to get your clutch engaged.....giving you more low end grunt. For a sport quad...I think it may not be the best trick for you because you prolly will lose some top end speed.

For me personally, with the big tires and the mud, pulling and plowing I do....it has been great. The best thing about it is it absolutely FREE.....and it is TOTALLY reverseable if you don't like the effect.

Doober is right...doesn't take much time at all just a little mechanical ability and a few tools. And if I were drinking beer....it would take me a lot longer than an hour.....POP....FIZZZ.....GLUG GLUG GLUG!!!

Thanks for posting the link 1wook......I hope the pics have help..........
