First impressions:
Louder than I thought was possible. Sounds like a cross between a Harley with streight pipes and a riding lawn mower. Wierd combo I know but thats what it sounds like.
Low end power is MUCH improved!! It will lift the front end up now in high range without having to pull and lean real hard (had to before the pipe). Just hit the gas it it wheelies!
Top speed is about the same. It went 60mph on a streight away paved road. Brand new it wouold do 63 mph (on speedo) but after front and rear bumpers and a valve adjust it usually gits around 58 to 60mph.

Install was easy and took about an hour total and I took my time. On the 04 a drop bracket it required with this pipe. They forgot to send it with the kit the first time so thats why my first attempt to install didnt go so well.

I didnt do any other mods to the the quad. I had planned to do the K&N and a jet kit but there is no filter avail for the 04 as of yet and Black Majic said NOT to re-jet it. They claim when the were testing the pipe jetting up and or down lost power either way. Ill keep an eye on the plug just incase. The pipe is supposed to be a 6 to 8hp bolt on and I think it is probably worth about that much.

The bad news is that the pipe will probably be for sale shortly because the quad lives at my dads farm and Im almost positive he wont be able to stand the noise for long. Just an FYI.

Was it just a muffler, or did you get a new pipe also? Does it backfire on top end? I think you would want to put more fuel to it now that your exhaust is opened up.

Its the full exhaust. I guess when you mean "does it backfire on topend" you mean when I let off the gas?? It might have done it once or twice just slightly. I will be going one jet fatter here shortly to see if it helps. The only drawback ( other than the noise) is that the fit is real real tight and it melted a fender screw bracket that cant help but touch it about 3/4's way back on the pipe. I had to modify it with a small piece of angle iron between the frame and plastic so it would bow out about 1 inch away from the pipe. Then I had to use a self tapper screw and drill into another part of the plastic right next to the old spot to attatch the two pieces of plastic fender together. I think $365 shipped is way over priced but it was the only full kit out there right now and ........well you know how it is :-) When ever the k/N filter is avail. I will add it and the jet at the same time. Ill be sure and post the results. I really cant get over the power increase this pipe alone gives!!

If I do decide to sell the pipe I will let you know about that as well.
