What is the best way to lower the ground clearance on an Arctic Cat? It has a tendency to role when turning corners. Tires are stock Carlisle 25x10x12 & 25x8x12.

I think the biggest problem is the tires,My Rincon did the same thing until I put Mudlights on,It really helped.

Same size tires? If so, why do the mudlites help? Thanks

A friend of mine has an AC650 vtwin and it did the same thing with the stock tires. He put 27" ITP 589s on it and that solved probably about 90% of the problem according to him. He said it makes all the difference in the world.

Would ya'll recommend 26x10x12(front) and 26x12x12(back) in a mudlite, gator, 589, dirt devil, or something else?

I don't get this. You want to lower the quad's ground clearance, but you are talking about taller tires. Do you just mean making it more stable? If so, I would guess a wider setup and tires with a stiffer sidewall.

try ajusting your shocks to a stiffer setting.
and 26x10x12s and 26x12x12s will work great.
i set the shocks to the stiffest setting and with the bigger tires it was very stable.
and i would go for the gators thay worked great on my 500.

look in the back end of the atv there is differnt holes where you can unbolt your a-arms and bolt them up so you get less ground clearance but i put 27 inch itp 589's on mine and it made a world of difference the two biggest factors were the aftermarket tires are wider and they are way heavier well and plust a stiffer sidewall you won't know your machine back after a tire change and i left the shocks settings the same

Roll in the corners, on hill sides, any time your weight is distributed sideways, hell yeah its down right scary. Rolled my AC 400 over 5 times now. Two of those times I thik were the tires fault. Thank God I was never injured but as soon as my mudlites get here I am cutting them off with a knife and throwing them away.

I rode another AC 400 with 26 inch mudlites and I thought it was a different bike. I was able to do a few things that would scare the crap out of me on my 400.

With stock tires I was not able to find a spring setting that stopped the roll in the corners. But I know changing the tires will almost eliminate it entirely.

I believe the reason why it helps is that on the stock tires they are a 2 or 4 ply tires. Not much support for the sidewalls. The mudlites or similar tires are 6 ply tires. Similar to truck tires. More ply ratings increases the load range and stiffness of the side wall of the tires.
