Mud Running
#1
Ok everyone this coming saturday a bunch of people got 8 machines out from polaris, and we are gonna go out mud running and I will be the only one with an arctic cat. There will be about 15 of us total and sounds like they will all be polarises with one 660 grizzley and me, so what i need from everyone is some sort of good luck and maybe a prayer that i don't break down in front of everyone ugh that would be embarassing. I will try to remember a camera and put some pics on here of the whole expedition. Thanks everyone and remember MUD IS GOOD.

Thanx west and well most of these people are amateurs hardly ever been in the mud and I am on my atv almost every day even when it is raining and snowing. I just wonder how many of them i will have to pull out cause I will be one of 2 people with a winch, the grizzley also has a winch, that is the only atv i am scared of well not to much he can keep up to me in the mud but mine is hands down way better then the grizz with 26 inch mud lites on it.

when im in the mud, as long as im going forword i dont let off the gas.
but as soon as it starts to get stuck, i stop and back up with out spinning the tires.
then i go for it again with more power or i back all the way out and go around it.
its not very often that i get stuck.
these mud lites are just what they say they are.
mud tires and they perform great in the mud.
and on loose ground and rock they are just as good.
i wouldent worry about being oudone.
if anything you'll be taking it easy on them.
keep the diff locked and the gas on and youll do fine.
good luck.

hey mud thanx for the input but this is just floating bog once you break through the top you are going down and straight down and you can't back out of it so you gotta keep going but with the winch i got it is easy to winch myself out no matter how stuck i get, and well i guess i am not afraid at all of being showen up i just wishing a good luck from everyone on here i will deffinately put another post on here to let yall know how it went with any luck i am gonna take things more easy not the kamakazie style i usually go and try to finess more to not get stuck instead of canning it down the middle

thanx west i will certainly do that we will see if that kawasaki motor can handle high rpm's for long periods of time well i guess it won't be high rpm's the way them things are geared to be able to run 50 mph in low range but i gotta see if i can actually break this machine almost 1200 miles and can't do it yet everything is just as solid as the day i brought it home

I know what you mean on the floating bog.Had mine on one a month or so ago.I broke through and that was it,couldn't even budge it when I got off to push, not an inch! There was nothing but grass to winch from,so I hooked to the only thing I could(GULP!),a rubicon. Please don't tell anyone.lol.

Were are you ridding at? I lived north of Badger for a while. I always trided to be in the front of the pack breaking trail, it sucks sometimes but you get the fresh swamp grass and cattails to run on, keeps you floating allot better. And resist the urge to giver full throttle. As you allready know once you spin your going straight down in the loon $hit? Good luck and have fun.
