If they did it right, then the modified brakes should be fine. If it is indeed a 98 (the plastic has the same graphics as the 99 models) and it is in good condition, then $3200 is a good price for it. Granted that the condition is good and it is running fine. Also, check the mileage. It if has over 2000 miles, then there is always the chance that a portion of them were driven hard. Thats not a whole lot of miles for a quad, but it can be used to your advantage when bargaining for a lower price.

about the brake set up. would it be dangerous in a emegency? thats all

andy, it has 716 farm use miles on it. the man is 70 years old and used it around the farm only. said he had used the winch 3 times only. but you know people can day anything. he said his son did the brake job so it would hold better on winching something. i myself don't know but hey thats a woman for you right? LOL later

Not dangerous at all. In fact most other manufactures have this brake set up.
