Default Need Help! 650V2 new tires

picking up my new 05 monday. Want to get new tires and rims but cant decide. First, 26 or 27 inch tires. The quad will have the dynatek power module if that helps. Second, either ITP mudlites or the ITP 589 M/S. I put them on for hunting seaon. Mostly woods and some mud and snow. No work really, thats why i keep the stockers. Any help would be great. Thanks everyone.

Whats up buckmaster, just to throw you my opinion the 589's are pretty damn good in the mud & snow situation,a few of my friends have 600 grizzlies and have 27 inch 589's on them and they were breaking trails in about 12-15 inches of snow sometimes running in 2 wheel drive. If i didnt see it myself i would have called them liars..... just my opinion good luck in what ever you choose...

Of the sizes and tires you mentioned I would go with the 27" 589s.

I do have to agree with fetch, the 589's are pretty awesome in the snow. I don't know abou the mudlites though. But I do know that both are very good tires. I am sure you can't go wrong with either choice. Me personally, I would go with the 27's!

thanks for the replys so far. So, nobody thinks the 27inchers will rob too much power??? Anybody know the tread depth of the 589s and the mudlites?? Thanks again for everything

With the incresed traction and stability of either aftermarket tire, you will completely forget about any small loss of power with the power plant bolted on that 650. Believe it or not, with the thicker sidewall than the stockers, you will feel a difference in handling of your machine when cornering and just plain trail riding. I am not exactly sure about the depth of the tread on the mudlites, but I believe the 589's are just over an inch.

i think the mudlites are an inch and a 1/4 and seem to be the same or very close to the 589s

i got the 27 inch 589's on mine and i do believe they are a lil more aggresssive in the mud then the mud lite's and i would deffinately go with 27's again in a heartbeat over 26's but i do think the mud lites are a smoother riding tire seems like you always have more rubber on the ground with them but they don't have the cleaning capabilities as the 589's you will notice a lil power loss but like said earlier on this thread the handling difference will make you not wanna put on your stock tires i thought the 589's were roughly an inch deep
