My '03 300 did not come with an oil cooler fan. It seems reasonable that a cooler running engine would last longer, which is what I want. On a recent hunting trip, my dad's Suzuki Eiger had it's fan come on several times when we were riding together.

In everyone's opinion, is the $130 oil cooler fan worthwhile or not? I ride in very hilly country (often with a passenger) and am lucky enough to carry deer out of steep canyons most years.

If it really needed it they would have one from ther factory.

 

I've seen how hot it can get in the summer in your area, and when I move down there when the wife retires our 250 will get a fan kit. The 300 we are looking at to add to the litter will get one too, unless she opts for the 400.
