With the High - Low - Super Low trans ranges power is not a problem for woods / trail riding if you want a "high speed" road runner you need something bigger. We have two guys that ride them and they do just fine.

The 250 4x4 has a triple range tranny, but the 250 2x4 only has a double range tranny.
The 250 is probaly the strongest in it's class, but it's not up to par in the performance area. The 250 leads it's class in rack capacity and ground clearance. It also has the best ride. If you want a sporty bike, the Arctic Cat 250 is not what you are looking for, check out the Recon or the Xplorer 250 4x4. But if you want a a cheap bike with alot of grunt and that is comfotable for larger riders(unlike most of the other 250's) then the 250 is what you are looking for.
