QUESTION? ive heard that if your using a 2500lb winch and use a pully, that it doubles its weight. for instance the 2500lb winch now becomes a 5000lb winch. is this true? i tried it once and it did seem to pull easier but, does it actually double?

yes, but normally u dont really use a pulley u use a ****** block which is like a pulley but it colapses so u can hook to it , and yes it doubles your winch pull. it's saved my hide and many other riders hides in the 3 months ive had my AC with a 2500lb. warn , before my AC i never had a winch on a fourwheeler, wow i wish i had

Sorry but I have a question. Does the whinch drain you battery alot?

A winch at full weight pull can draw better than 75 amps(worse case). Your itty bitty ATV battery is good for about 2 minutes max without the charging system boosting the battery. The ****** block cuts the weight the winch has to pull in halve there by halving the current(amps).

a ****** block is deffinately recomended in my book for the 6x6 them things are heavy pigs but you should be fine with the tbx my winch is always used not even so much for me or my buddies getting stuck but on the farm it is always being used for fencing and we even had a cow get its head caught in a home made feeder and i used it to winch the feeder enough so she could get her head out and my buddy screwed up his grizzley in the mud hole bad broke tie rod end broke a-arm broke front axle brake line and we just used his winch winched up up the back end of my atv and away we went i pulled him home 5 miles and one thing with the ****** block is yes it pulls twice as hard but is twice as slow to which usually isn't that big of a deal and takes longer to set up but a 2500 pounder shuld be fine for your tbx

Okay, I am sold and want the Ramsey 2500 or 3000 with wireless remote. My question is do I need the winch mount kit if I go with a new Front Bumper? Also who do you recommend for the front bumper? Model and Style also...
Thanks

i have the same style front end on my 2002 500. i went with the front bumper from arctic cat that was i think around 160.00 dollars and it works awsome. it covers the head light and it is well built. i also have a 2500 lb warn winch and i went with the kit it came with. also its an easy project to install ,just time consuming.

Have you got any pics of it, is the front end the same on the 04 as the 02 500? Is the winch hidden behind the bumper?

The same winch kit works on all the full size Cat's. The new part number is #0436-700. The old number is 0436-364 was for the 1996 thru 2004 models. Now the new number covers 1996 thru 2005. Check this price for the old part number:
