Do we have any fast DVX400's out there? What mods? Anything to compare to the YFZ or 450R? Help a brother out...lol

I beat a YFZ once, but the guy probably didn't know how to ride, haven't tried a 450R.

in the short runs you might keep up but on the top end the yfz is jsut to powerfull. Honestly your talking differnet types of quads man. the DVX is a sport quad where as the YFZ and the new honda are built for racing specifically. I ride with a buddy that has a yfz and I can keep up with him in short runs but once upto speed on the upper end he starts to pull away from me.

My DVX has a white bros e2 slip on pipe. thats the only mod Ive been able to do as of yet but have been eyeballing a hot cam for the thing.

I have eye candy hop ups but the pipe is the only real performance hop up.

I thought about a YFZ before i got the DVX but i don't spend all of my time at the track so, i figured i didn't need it. Plus i couldn't live without reverse, so i got the DVX.

Can you buy the same performance parts for the DVX as you can for the Z400?

I dont think that all of them fit dead on but there are some parts that I have heard will bolt right up. To see a list of things that will in fact fit on the rig go here.

I have a DVX with the mods in my signature. I use it for flat track racing it is competitive everytime out (top 3-5 everytime) As fas as straight out runs low to mid is great with a YFZ but top end a lil different story. Also another thing to keep in mind is the size of the rider, I am 6'3 220 and the "X" carries me around quite well. As far as parts for a z400 fitting a DVX yes its all interchangeable motor wise. Hope this "helps a brother out"

All the parts are interchangeable except for cosmetics.

I don't understand your question? But i'm going to take a stab at it. (this in my mind is the best set up and is relatively cheap)

That is an example of the kit I have on my Bike. Now if u want to take a cheaper route then :

Just remember you get what you pay for. As for your local shop apparently they don't know what they are talking about, so be careful about listening to the "know it alls" of the business.
