Default 650 H1 or 650 V2

What is your guy's take on these two machines? I already own a 2004 650 twin. My dad wants to buy another 650, so its gonna be a 2005. Should i hold out till the H1 comes out or is the twin a better engine? The 633cc Kawasaki engine was rated 2004's best engine. Another thing, will the H1 come with the duramatic trans or the kawa's? B/c i would definately want the duramatic. its ends up being between 633 cc's of smooth vtwin power or 641 cc's of stump pulling grunt.

The H1 will have the Duromatic trans. As far as motors, you'll have to wait and see. I would say the twin would be smoother, and it sounds cool. For me, that makes no difference, if they're putting out about the same HP numbers, I'll get the H1 for the trans.

i am seriously considering the H1 just for the trans, its just more durable. Although it is noisier and bulkier than the kawasaki's. The H1 is supposed to be cheaper than the V2 as well, hopefully all the features will stay the same.

The H1 should have a better torque curve than the V2, which translates into better pulling power and better acceleration. Horsepower only effects top speed.

with me im gonna wait for the h1, i like tryin new things. of course you sometimes have a price to pay when things go wrong b/c of it being new. id really like to find out if they would come out with a manual 650. arctic cat does come out with new exciting things so i wouldnt be surprised if they did. you know what they say "more to go on".
