no. the dvx400 is arctic cat's z400. since the z can beat the 400ex the dvx will be faster and more powerful than the ex. plus it looks alot better.

definitely. Plus i think the 2 year warranty covers the dvx as well, and u cant find a better warranty than that. To me, the dvx is the best lookin sport quad out there along with the raptor and yfz. plus all the factory options like interchangable fenders(cool colors like chrome and marbled effects)

hey you guys that are into racing quads i got a question for you. how hard would it be to take an engine out of a 440 fan sno-pro arctic snowmobile and put it in an atv chassis.. cause that 440 sno-pro is kicking out 99 horsies and was wondering if the 400dvx is 2 stroke or 4?? i dont know much about the dvx but they sure do look fun to drive.

the dvx is a 4 stroke with the 398 suzuki motor, That would be a real sweet swap, but your gonna probably have to beef up the trans along with the clutch, stronger chain and sproket, and mayb a new axle to handle all the power.

yeah a person would have to do alot of drivetrain upgrades but if someone had the time the money and the means it would be sweet. i remember before arctic cat released the dvx i read in a fourwheeler magazine how the reporter asked for arctic to make a sport quad and mentioned using this motor and for some reason that always stuck with me why they didn't. but i do supposed after all them drivetrain upgrades the darn thing would weigh a ton

the frame would rattle to pieces if you put a engine like that in a dvx frame. the frame is not strong enough to hold that much power.

there are some guys on here that have transplanted suzuki gsxr1000 motors onto their quads. those engines on the motorcycles put out over 130 horse stock. elongated frame, titanium sprokets, wheeley bars u name it they did it.

that would be sooooo much fun to make custom atv's like that, people give you the money tell you what they want and you make it happen. anyone wanna give me the money to put in a 440 fan cooled suzuki motor in a dvx?? lol
