Yeah, but Denver isn't all that high either. Flagstaff, Az is higher and Alburquerque, New Mexico is as high as Denver.

i know our so callled trail system in beltrami has signs all over that says no vehicles over 1000 pounds and well all they are is gravel roads that you can take a car down. heck they are better then the road going by my house. but they do need to clarify this weight limit and determine exactly what is considered an atv and what is considered to be an OHV and get the weights right. and for future reference to making trails and bridges they are gonna have to take OHV's into consideration for alot of the elderly are buying these machines for they are easy to get into and drive. heck i am buying a rhino soon just because they are fun to drive.

In PA All-Terrain Vehicles are defined as follows:
* Class 1 ATV - A motorized off-highway vehicle, which travels on three or more inflatable tires and has a maximum width of 50 inches and a maximum dry weight of 800 pounds.
* Class 2 ATV - A motorized off-highway vehicle, which travels on three or more inflatable tires and has a width which exceeds 50 inches or a dry weight which exceeds 800 pounds
Heard a rumor that they are going to be doing away with the Class 2 which is what category a Rhino or Ranger falls into. They are going to be reclassified as Farm vehicles. They want to do this so they don't have to support the the trails for the growing number of UV's that are being purchased. Although I think that a farm vehicle in PA can ride on the roads, wonder how that'll fly, probably not very far in our state.....

I plan on elk hunting CO this year and taking my AC650. So does my buddy with his AC TBX, another buddy with a Grizzly, and one with a Polaris Expedition. We are not going to worry about it. I don't think the Rangers will either, considering how thin they are spread and how many other problems they have to contend with. Bet that rule gets changed or overlooked.

Nobody will hassle you about the weight - weight is the least of their concern. If you shoot a cow and you have a bull tag, well that's when you are in deep poop. I have seen so many hunters on ATVs (yes, the heavy ones) and I am one of them and nobody cares.. just stay on the trail and you will be fine.
