Default DVX oil filter

My brother in law just bought a new DVX400 and I have a few questions for you guys for him. Is the oil filter the same as the Suzuki? I assume it is but I'd to confirm.

He'll be ready to change the oil later this week so maybe we can go riding this weekend.

Thanks for the help and if you have any pointers for me to pass on him I'm sure he'd be appreciative.

I apologize if this has been rehashed thousands of times but I don't have time to do a search as my time is limited this week. I hope you guys understand from this infrequent member.

I have an 04 DVX and I have been modifying it, everything is the same except the plastic. I have bought Suzuki and Kawaski parts and have had no problems.

just make sure you get the filter in the SAME WAY IT COMES OUT!!!! which if i recall is the larger hole towards the back. otherwise he'll loose oil pressure. and yes the suzuki oil filter will work
