I just saw that they took of irs on the 06 cats. Why the heck would they do that?
I was going to get a cat 500 but now i guess ill get the vinny.

 

I'm not sure where you heard that but I can tell you that it's not true.

Go to articcat.com and check it out for yourself. I'm sure Arctic Cat wouldn't regress back to that.

I would sure go for that new 500. If you want that vinnie thats your choice. It'll be a shame when you have to get pulled out by a Cat.

 

The 2006 250 is a new machine built by Kymco and does not have IRS. However the 400 and up still have the IRS. The old 250 and 300 with the Suzuki engine are gone. The new 250 DVX is also made by Kymco.

Umm...I clicked on that link and it says "front suspension: double A-arm rear suspension: double A-arm". Looks like they're keeping the fully independent suspension to me...

 

Double A arms = IRS. The only machine that isn't IRS in 400 and above is the 400VP, which has the ACT. suspension

 

oops- what was i thinking...Silly me...go arctic cat!!

 

Even the ACT can be considered an independant suspension. It is not a "true" one, but acts like it and works great.

 

I believe it's called a semi independant suspension. It has a straight axle, but each wheel is allowed to travel independant from the other one.
