Bought my first ATV - AC250
#1
Well I just bought my first ATV. I went with the AC 250 2WD model. I really like how big the bike is for a 250. The dealer had a promotion of free 2 year warranty or winch. I thought that was a no-brainer and went with the warranty. I thought the AC was smoother running and riding than the Bayou 300 and the Beartracker. I didn't give the Recon much of a look, because of no hitch and low weight ratings on the racks. The CV boots still concern me, but I will keep an eye on them regularly and I plan on getting stick stoppers.

Congradulations and welcome to the wonderful world of ATV's. I test rode an AC250 about a year ago and thought it was a great ride for the money. I think you'll be happy with it. I would recomend the stick stoppers for the boots. Get a copy of the AC accessories book as they have a lot of nice stuff for the 250. You can download a copy of it from the Arcticat website. Enjoy, and keep us posted on how well you like the new ride.

Congrats on the new purchase, hope the 250 works out great for you! Like I, as well as several others, stated earlier-don't hesitate in picking up some aftermarket stick stoppers. They'll really save your butt as far as replacing boots, and possibly joints, which are fairly costly.
Anyway, hope you like your new 'Cat, keep us posted on how it performs out on the trail for you!
