Default Sway-bar kit

I was looking through the artic-cat accessories book and see they sell a sway bar kit for the IRS models....Just curious if anyone has tried one?

Why would you want to limit the travel of your suspension?

One of the reasons I bought the cat was the absentence of the anti-sway bars. They limit independent suspension travel while limiting body roll. On competetion rock crawling equipment they don't use anti sway-bars.

it is supposedly supposed to help for body roll and give ya a better handle but i like my awesome articulation so even if arctic cat atv's start comign with the sway bar i will be removing it.

I don't notice any perceptible difference in the way the Polaris machine with torsion bar articulates through the rough compared to my Cats. But the Polaris has the lead with a profound difference in handling at higher speeds that is very noticeable. I’ve compensated on the cats by putting much heaver springs on so they corner nearly as well as the Polaris but without the soft Polaris ride.

last summer we went through an area with alot of really deep potholes and where the polaris's wanted to tip on the side mine articulated right through it. you have to get in some nasty stuff but you can notice the difference of all of the tires working independently or being restricted by the sway bar. after i put the 6-ply tires on mine it handles very good now.
