does the 06 400 auto have to be ran in low range or can it be ran in high

 

You are ok to run in high all the time. It is a great trans setup one of the best on the market same as 500 and h-1 it is a wet cluch setup, you only have to run in low most of the time if you have a 650 V-2 with the kawi engine, Doug
