AC's in the water

Just got a 2006 AC 500 4X4 auto and am still testing its limits. Any issues in water? How deep is enough with stock set up? I'm thinking of adding 26" aggressive tires - pros, cons, tire type/brand?

the manual says dont go over the foot boards (lol) ive had it half way up my motor and no problems i heard dont go over the tranny snorkel which is supposedly located under the front fender

yeah, your fine up yo the point of the snorkel as rango726 says. water will get in and belt will slip or mat go into your air intake also.
tires- 2 of the most popular are the 589's and mud lites. mud lites tend to work a bit better for both mud and hard packed trails. 589's good for mud/snow.

That helps me out alot also. Is the height of water covering the entire wheel(26") to deep?

Any preference - mudlite XL or XTR for mud and trial riding?

i've had my headlights under with no problems before but once water got about 3 inches over my racks and i found out that was a lil to deep trust me it is a pain in the butt to get them up and running.
p.s. anyone wanna buy a fourwheeler? lol

if its a manual, it shouldnt matter how high the water is right? there are no belts to slip.

JJonJon,

Do you need a basic explanation on combustion. Gas, heat, and AIR for combustion buddy.
