i was riding earlier tonight and i noticed that my header was starting to glow, i shut it down immediatly and brought the truck out to get it. what is the cause of this happening?

 

They all do that as far as I no. Mine does it...my dads does it... and all my friends do it to. I wouldnt be worried about it at all.

 

alright well that makes me feel a lot better haha i thought i was about to have to spend some more money

 

My buddy has a yfz and his pipe glows real dark and so does my dad's raptor 700.

 

The reason that it gets so hot is because its the first part that recieves that hot exhaust gasses in you exhaust system.

 

well yea i knew that, i was just thinking my engine might have been running a little hot and that might have been why it was turning red. i don't ride at night very often so i just noticed it when i was riding earlier.
