Default More Arctic Cat motors?

Does anyone know if AC will be putting their engines in any more of their quads? The H1 seems to be pretty solid. Are there any real problems with the H1? I would love to see them get away from the other brands of engines. Not saying anything against the Jap engines, just like to see them become more independant.

Their new engine plant is big enough to handle more engines. I heard (rumor only so far) that the 650 V-2 was due to disappear in 2007. I would think their next motor would be a 400 as it is the best selling model. But the is using logic and a board (called a committee for those really big screw ups) of directors decides what to do and Suzuki does own 40% of AC stock.

I've heard rumors about a 550 liquid motor. I know that they have ordered a bunch of cylinders from a manufacturer but who knows if they will actually come out with one- its like the 800 motor that they were working on with their snowmobiles on their old 700 laydown bottom end- yeah they had them, yeah they actually had a ton of cylinders (which they ended up selling to the aftermarket outlets), and yeah they worked but your crank was junk after 5000 miles, so like I said who knows.............

I live in St. Cloud where the new plant is going up. I know the contractor who is building it for Arctic Cat. It is a long ways away from being done. The rumer is that the H1 engine is going to be made there. But I am sure that is just what they are telling everyone.

for the time being catter they are building them in thief river falls. i do have a funny feeling when that building goes up and production starts you will see cat going away from kawi and suzuki engines. i do actually hope they offer a few models with the suzuki motor cause them things are bomb proof.
