Default 2004 250 2x4

I have a 2004 Arctic Cat 250 2x4 and i was wondering what are some mods i should do to it like bumpers, lights etc. those kind of things, like accesories what should i do so it's a good utilty ATV and also trail and mud riding, i'm about to order a Gorilla 3k winch for it, either today or tomorrow but anybody got some ideas for me, i'm also thinking about new tires (mudlites) but i don't wanna go any bigger on the tire and loose power and i can't find the stock size with the mudlites, and if you think another tire is even better for trail riding and muddin' let me know thanks guys.

My 2001 250 2X4 is pretty much the same machine except the plastic is slightly different. See the mds I've done. I think a 3000#, even a 2500# is really over kill on a 250, they just don't weight enough to anchor well enough for the bigger winches.

Maybe someone else can chime in here too, but I don't think you can do too much to make the 250 2x4 a "muddin" machine. I've got a 2000, and I've learned not to get into anything to harry. It either bottoms out, or just gets to the point where it can't push the front tires anymore. Don't get me wrong, it's a great bike, and I can go and will hill climb pretty much anything the 4x4 guys will, with the exception of deep mud holes. Or snow for that matter, 5-6 inches of snow and you aren't going anywhere. My $.02

Agreed, as a muddin' machine a 2X4 just isn't gonna get it done. A 4X4 is required for mud and preferably a locker. When I was still riding the 250 I could do a foot of snow, but then I installed a lift kit, but then with 8 1/2" of ground clearance I don't see how 6" of snow would stop you. As a trail machine it is actually better than my 2005 4X4 as it is narrower and shorter for tighter turning and handling.
