A little experiment

I own a H1 and like most of you I would like the exhaust side of the bike to be cooler on the leg. So for heck of it I decided to by some header wrap to bring the temp near my leg down. This should give me 2 benefits. Cooler leg and faster flowing exhaust gas. Although because the exhaust gas is moving faster I may have to change jets. I will be on vacation for the next week (unfortunately not a vacation involving the wheeler). When I get back I will do some runs and let you all know how it works.

Let us know how it goes. Also, you should order the side panals from the 2007's. THey will cut the heat down too!

Alright. I am back from vacation. Gave the new set up a little test. I can not say that it was as succesful as I would have hoped for. I did find that I needed to drop 3 Jet sizes, due to the exhaust gases moving faster and creating a bigger vacuum. I can also say that it quited the ride down a little bit.
Just in case anyone cares. The vacation was at a camp for children with cancer (volunteered), have to say it was one of the best things I have had the chance to experience.
