Default 650 V2 Question

I have a 650 V2 and my left leg kills me shortly into a ride due to heat. i talked to my local dealer that i bought it from, and as you know the 2007 AC ATVs have left and right side panels all the way to the floorboard, so no heat. mine is a 2006 and mine doesnt have that. he says he could order it for my machine pretty cheap, but he thinks that because the exhaust is right there, it might warp or even melt the new plastic cover. the exhaust pipe has its own cover over it also. do you think i could order this and put it on and the plastic would be alright or do you think its a bad idea and will ruin the new guard i buy. also if you think it will warp/melt the new one do you think i could mod it and put a piece of aluminum or extra plastic piece behind it to avoid it melting/warping. thanks for any input.

Default 650 V2 Question

Its the nature of the beast. I looked into the panels also, but you have to custom cut them yourself to make them fit. I dont have any problems in the winter months, so i deal with it.

Default 650 V2 Question

I know a guy who has cut them to fit his 2006 V2, and he hasn't had any problems at all. Claims it is a night and day difference. No melting or anything. Feel free to wrap something around it too, but for $40 you can't go wrong on the pannels.
