arctic cat snow plow
#1
well i picked up my new 60" polyethelene arctic cat snow plow, with push tube, atv mounting brackets, and the angle adjuster this morning. all together was about $480 a little pricey but after looking around a bit i realized that there wasnt much of a difference in price from one set up to another. and since this was my first atv snow plow and my first atv since i was a kid my cat is my baby so i figured i would spend the extra and go for the cat setup figuring that they know there atvs best. and it seems as if they did a pretty good job. my biggest concern was loosing ground clearance because of the mounts but the cat mounts barely hang down. and there strong too they spared nothing there.i also wanted the poly blade to shed the snow a little better plus i hear there lighter well i hate to see the weight on a steel blade becuase it is still very heavy it should have no problem pushing snow. i also heard that the push frame tend to bend alot and with the square stock they've used i cant see that happening. i also dont understand bending one period unless your plowing at 40 mph and hitting things. i just figured ive been seeing a few posts about plows as the snow approaches us and i figure i would give my opinion on the cat set up. again this is my first plow so i have nothing to compare it to im sure there are plenty of good set ups out there.but in my opinion the cat setup is worth the money.please if any one else has some info or tips on atv plows or plowing chime in maybe it will help someone in the market for a plow make up there mind. thanks

I also just bought my first ATV , with a Arctic Cat plow. I did talk to some that have had ploy plows and all said they are not for pushing sand. Which I figure is obvious. But most all said they were good. Couple guys that have ploy for there pickup trucks say be careful where you store them. The sun can be bad new for them. I will keep everyone posted on how my plow works and my thoughts. I just hope we don't have to use them for a while.
