Default "Air Filter

Hi,

I have misplaced my Owner's Manuel and I was wanting to check my air filter.

Could someone please tell me where it is...LOL Stupid question I know.

I have a '06 400 4x4. It only has like 589 miles on it.

It is under your glove box. The best thing to do is pop the little plastic rivets out that hold the hinge of the lid to your glove box. The rivets are on each side of the steering post. Remember to slightly pull the lid and hinge piece toward the seat before lifting up because there is little plastic clips that help hold the hinge plate in place. Here is a link to show you all the parts of your quad.

CATSKINNER i misplaced my manual also but i had already done my first service on my 06' ac 400 auto fis before i lost it , and it really is easy to get to the air filter like you said ! I did the second oil chang and air filter cleaning and reoiling on my ac , i washed the filter with Joy dish washing licquid ; it cut's grease and dirt better than manual sugguest's to use. It's safer and the foam filter last's longer with the dish washing stuff , my ac is all stock and i plan to keep it stock ! I'm to old for racing and don't do wheelies i like to keep all four wheel's on the ground ; good riding to all and be safe out there....................williebee !!!!!

If I was gonna use detergent I would use DAWN. But I use solvent, let it dry and add oil and reinstall. Alway wear rubber gloves when working with solvent or any petroleum products. They can posion you, I know from first and experience.
