I have a lever on my AC that says Lock and Unlock, I am assuming its for the differiential and dont really understand when I should use it or not.

My question is when should I lock and unlock it?

 

That lever is to fully lock your front differiential. Only use it in 4x4, when you are loosing traction because one of your front tires is spinning and the other isn't. Basically, you will probaly use it once or twice a year. Do not lock it in unless you need too, because it cause a lot of stress on the front end and is hard to steer.
