PULLING TREES 650 V2
#12
LOW RANGE IS THE KEY! You should have no problems at all and if it won't pull it, you will just spin the tires. I pull a 16ft low boy trailer with 3 rows of hay around the farm. The trailer weighs about 1000lbs and each row of hay has 15 bails @ about 50lbs a bail. So the total weight is about 3250lbs and my bf750 pulls it ok in low range. But, don't try pulling something heavy (over 500lbs) in high range or you will burn the belt up....personal experience here. The low range is wonderful and I have heard that arctic cat's tranny's low range is even lower the other manufactures.

take it for what you want but my buddy has a 01 or 02 cat that is only a 300 4x4 and he has pulled 30-40 cord a year out of his wood lot for the last 4 years , done nothing except change a voltage regulator, the oil once and two weeks ago the rear bearings.
Not to mention he stores it outside chained to a tree under a tarp

Pull in lo til the wheels spin if do lop some of the tree off. I do most of my pulling with machine unless cant get to well then winch out til can hook machine up.
Have stalled winch many times pulling big ones.
