well, i see that artic cat has a quad with IRS and it seems like on of the better quads...im not even sure what the name is but how much do you think im looking at for a decent used artic cat with IRS? thanks

 

you basically have two different kinds of cats one with straight axle and i would say about 66 percent of them with IRS. what we need from you is what size you are looking at and about what year. i mean are you looking at a 2000 300 2x4 or are you looking at a 2006 700 efi? and keep in mind to that depending on where you live the prices will fluctuate like anything else. to get you in the ballpark for your area of what you are looking at go to kellys bluebook or www.kbb.com

 

im thinking atleast a 500cc.....4 wheel drive.....year 2000 +......IRS......is there anything else you'd need to know to get an 'about' price?

 

E-bay will give you a pretty good idea what they are going for in your area. Also try atv/auto trader type publications.

thanks....on ebay...i searched all brands and im thinking 4-6 grand will get me a quad in great condition with probably a winch and 500+cc engine.....im just trying to figure out prices and things like that.....the end of next summer i should have enough money for a quad....thanks for your help guys.!

 

i see you said 4-6 grand for a bike. is that used? i ask because i bought my 500 brand new for $5730.00. i just dont want you to get an older bike for the price of a new one, or close to it. if you go to your dealer ask if he has any last year models. around here they drop about a grand less just to get them off the floor for 2007's.

so all arctic cats (higher end ones) has IRS and 4x4? is forget if its arctic cat or polaris that is belt driven...which is it? thanks....

 

Both have belts.

 

chumleys right but you can get a 500 manual arctic cat. polaris is belt only. they wont be a manual transmission for long though,from what i hear. belt only.
