I have never bad mouth anyone first. I do reserve the right to ask why they stated whatever it is they have stated. I really don't see how they reason these things out. When asked to justify their position, or explain it they come unglued. If you are gonna take a position on an issue, either be able to defend it or explain why, you do so by the way, but they seem to think their opinion is bullet proof and shouldn't be questioned. Sorry but I just don't see it that way. Once they get on my case I will hand it back. But really, to worry about a couple hundred extra pounds in the bed is pretty unsupportable as appropriate tie downs should always be used. Hell, here it is a felony to have an unsecured load, or under secured load.

it is their opinion and they may not be right and you may not be right, but everyone is entitled to it, and we should respect that and try to keep things more civil. i found out at a young age that i gotta pick my fights.

I never said they couldn't have their opinion. The are totally entitled to their opinion, but when you tossit in the ring, you better be ready to recieve so flak about it if it is just your opinion, not supported by facts. I just don't think their opinion should over ride the facts of the matter.

then it is up to you bear, you have been around the block, you have learned things through the years that you should be sharing with the rest of us. if you bring yourself down to this argumentive level nobody will listen to your good advice. my generation is looking to yours to spread your wealth of wisdome but in the same sense showing patience in your teachings. i know this isn't the first time i got upset with you for doing this and the other guy may be in the wrong but i am looking at you as to being the better man the one who will gracefully show your case and leave it at that. i really do hope this makes sense to you.

Yes you can load it in the back of your 2500 but be very carefull, you have to drive over the wheel wells. Its not a good idea.

The bottom line is it is safer to haul a oversized load such as the question of this thread was "Prowler" on a trailer than in the bed of a pickup, and thats a fact only a fool would debate. That was all I was trying to point out. Bear is as Ive found "ALWAYS RIGHT" in his own mind anyway and will always try and debate most anything.

Interesting reading all the opinions. Thanks truponycar and kitty05 for actually replying to the question.
Still looking to hear from anyone who has actually loaded a Prowler into a 2500HD longbed.

You must not have a prowler huh? If you did Id figure you would just try it rather than wait for everybodies gifted opinions! If measurements say it will then there you go, will you want to do it, who knows, go to a dealer and try and load one, sure they would do it if youre looking to buy one. Just a note, prowlers are good on the farm but rhinos kill them in the woods, I ride with guys with both all the time. I like arctric cats but they are wider and heavier and just dont do as good on the trails as the smaller rhinos.

oledad, you are correct. I do not yet have one.
I have a jeep. I either pull the jeep behind a truck and camper or a camp trailer behind a truck and atv.
Thinking I'll switch to the latter. The reason for the prowler: I have a friend who practically lives on one and swears by it. Don't need a racer, just something that'll get 2 riders and an elk back thru mud and snow.
