Snorkel Kits
#2
I have an AC 300 4x4 and I made a snorkle that worked out great.I took the factory snorkel off and bought an 1 1/2 to 2 " reducer for pvc pipe ran 2" pvc past my engine right to my front rack and with a 90 degree went threw straight up threw the rack .But were I ran into trouble was it wouldnt run very good, bogged down, no throttle response BECAUSE I was getting to much air.So from 2" pvc to 1 1/2" pvc to 1 1/4" pvc and a screen at the end of the snorkel. It runs awesome even more throttle response than I had before. You also have to take care of your air box remove it clean it and plug it up so it cant get any water. For example ther is a duck bill I replaced the duckbill with a tube and 2 clamps so If some reason I did get water in the airbox it would have some were to hold it.Plus there is a crankcase breather that sould be rerouted and put hose clamps so no water can leak in there.I rerouted the crankcase breather to the snorkel. The factory line was long enough. And rember to remove the gasket to the airbox lid and use silicon to seal it .No big deal to reseal it when you have to reoil the airfilter.
