I does seem like a pathetic machine, I think it pumps out close to or more torque as an Outlander 400, but the outlander pumps it out at a higher rpm (this one does it at like 2500rpm?) this thing IS a tractor- I'ld rather drive a skidsteer- they are so fun (and are pretty good for building jumps), its only 60hp and it pulls wheelies at about 1/3 throttle,

The 700 diesel from the factory is running very lean. I assume the reason is to meet government emission standards. Diesels need fuel and air to make power. With no turbo the 700 will be limited but the pump is adjustable and can be turned up. It has the ability to perform much better than what you experienced. And no, sporty it isn't, strictly utility.

The main reason I emphasized the lack of power is because I have read quite a few posts fairly recently talking about having the diesel for utility but also being able to cruise the trails. So yeah, I wanted people to realize that 'cruising' was going to be a very limited term.

dieself fumes do smell bad, but i think you can get fuel additives that make your exhaust smell/taste like grape/grape juice
