I really dont think AC has anything to prove. There record sales for every year again and again is enough proof that they are doing something right.

Most all the manufactures are in sales races. From past history what sells in the US is power and speed. I am glad that AC has stuck with their guns and not got caught up in this power and speed race to make sales. They have stayed with the principle of Utility - a work horse and rough terain machine, while trying to provide reliability, and rugged, low maintenance machines. I for one am glad that they are doing what they have done and hope that they continue with the same philisophy. I don't need excessive speed or excessive power, just enough to have an enjoyable ride and to be able to get to my destination, without breaking down or being constantly stuck, or overly tired from battling with the terain and machine.

Might be big and heavy but it flat climbs over stuff I would never have thought it would. And it out does my friends with their Yamaha, Honda, and Polaris.

Yes it doesn't run as flat as the others on the curvy trails, but I don't ride it that way. I would rather have something that will get me in and out of most anything than just get from Point A to Point B on a smooth trail in as little time possible.

Don't know why the complaint on AC engine braking. Mine works awesome and the backend doesn't lock up and slide like a Polaris. I seldom have to use the hand brake unless I need to really crawl slowly over rough terrain.

That's why there are so many different brands and models. Something for everyone and their style of riding and needs.

If I did not have my 400 AC my first choice for a replacement if I were to change brands would be the Suzuki 450 King Quad, my second choice would be a Suzuki 400 Eiger, but as it stands I have 2,000 miles on my machine and still have another 20-30,000 to go... And at an average of 700-1000 miles per year, that is close to 30-42 more years, hell I'll be over a 100 years old by then, and my biggest concern then would be someone always sitting me up straight when I lean over to fart...

You are smoking crack. AC has probable the best suspension on the market, and the engine braking is the best there is.
