Default Need a place to start with jetting a DVX400

My kid is looking to put a K&N powerlid, filter and a pipe on his ride, probably an HMF Ironman (unless someone has a better suggestion). What I need is a place to look up a starting point of how to jet this thing when the time comes. We're mostly within 200ft of sea level, in Alaska, it's rarely over 70 degrees F. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Greg

just a slip on or full exhaust?

for slip on i'd start with 155main jet(work your way down), 3rd clip needle, fuel screw 2 turns out

It'll likely be a full system, not a slip-on.
You say start with a 155 main jet, then work down from there correct?

What are the stock settings on this carb? Thanks, Greg.

go for the full system man, its worth it

stock settings are mainjet - 130. The needle isnt adjustable(only one notch) and fuel screw should be around 2 turns out.

if you get the full system start with a 165main jet and work your way down. 3rd clip on needle and 2 turns out

just a heads up if you buy a jetkit like dynojet or alba. Mikuni and dynojet jets ARENT the same. I have a chart that shows a compairison chart if you need it.

Thanks, yea, a chart would be appreciated. I read a little about the dynojet, and they have a point-blank reccomendation for altitude < 3000ft , aftermarket pipe and airbox removed that starts with a #146 Main, and again, 3rd notch/2 turns. Seems it's only divided into <3000 ft, 3000-6000ft, and > 6000ft, so my being around sea level would incline me to bump up a size of so on the main. That puts me right at 150 or 155 on the main. How does a 150 or 155 dynojet main relate to the 165 you mentioned? Thanks, Greg.

what DVXDUDE said, is a good place to start you may also what to change the air jet to a #25
the screw, some thing like 2 1/2 turns out
if you do a search you will find a lot of Z's rejetted to 165 main and a 25 air jet and by all means get the DJ needle. i'd shy a way from the DJ jets .
the hmf should work just fine , but the full pipe is the only way to go
