I was planning on selling my 05' trx400ex and purchasing a new h1, I was wondering if anybody could throw me any info on what they think about them. Any information would be helpful, I wanna use it for hunting and probably mudding with it every now and then. Thanks guys.

imo the best atv engine they make. ac definately provides the best chassis of any maker, but the ac 650 h1 is such a powerplant. perfect for the hunter/mudder. has the holeshot and low end power you need mudding and the reliability to take you to your hunting destination and haul your game back.

sweet, that's good to hear. That's what I'm hoping for. They take alot of beating too don't they? Also does anyone have any suggestions on a good set of mud tires for a reasonable price, any good sites to check out for some? I usually do my shopping on Rocky Mountain Atv. Thanks again.

I like MudCats for tires - the ones on the back of my machine.

Here are some places to check out some tires.

I have the MudLite XTRs and I love them, big improvement with steering and how the tires grip the terrain.

I just bought the 650 H1 LE and I love it...when it is running right. I really think that its just my mechanic...not the bike itself. I believe he really doesnt know what he is doing, and is messing other things up.

when i first got it it was like a tank to steer, with factory tires on it. but i put some ITP mud lites on it and it is so much better now! Less tread on the ground. the mudlites are really good in the really sticky stuff...just an idea

alright thanks again, I really wanna get a H1 but I just need mine to sell first. Another thing I was wondering, when you lock in 4 wheel drive does it lock all 4 in or just 3 like most atv's used to be.

I'm not sure about the 4x4, I think that its just the 3 but when you lock that differential lock, all 4 dig. Its awsome! If you get stuck in some bad stuff, this is the best thing. But hang on once you do, its great!

For the 4-wheel drive you have both options. You can flip the switch and have 4-wheel drive with the front differential operable or you can throw the lever to lock the front axle and all four will be locked in. Without it locked in, the front wheels can turn at different speeds. But with it locked in both front wheels will turn at the same speed (even if one is hanging out in mid air). It makes it a bit harder to steer when it is locked. But the traction is great
