Hi, im new here but i need to ask you gyus for an advice, im thinking about to buy the DVX 400, 2006 model. But here in Iceland theres no experience on these bikes so i was wondering if somebody could tell me if there are weak spots or just somethings to be aware of, or if there are any issues.
Thanks and my best regards from Iceland. Kristofer.

Welcome to the forums Icelander.
Yes, it is a good quad. Lots of upgrades available for it too. Keep in mind it is really an LTZ400 with different plastic. Reliable, quick and good overall ride.
Good luck with the purchase.

yes very good realiable quad. Like scooter said its pretty much a SUZUKI with arctic cat plastics. Only thing is there is a Clutch cover recall. ANy dealer will change it for free parts and labour. The recall might even be already done on it, just ask before you buy any dvx400,ltz400,kfx400.

Hi I just joined also. I have an 06 DVX 400. It's a great bike. There are a couple of things that aren't so great though: 1- the plastic breaks away from the brackets which isn't a big deal though. 2- The seat is not very comfortable. After about 30 minutes of riding it feels like you are sitting on a log. Other than that I am very pleased with the bike.

I own a 2004 DVX (green) and love it!! i've done some modifications since then and it's only gotten better. Only problems i had we're the fenders breaking off of bracket and heel guard bottoms breaking. I just got new heal guards and fixed the fenders by putting a big head stainless steel phillips head bolt threw with a stainless washer and nylon nut on the bottom. looks clean and as if it was meant to be there. any questions feel free to ask ooo the seat is a major downfall i even added foam to it and it still gets to me =S still got a neat seat tho =D

you get used to the seat. I ride for hours now and dont even notice it. Maybe i dont sit as much lol. But if i ride any of my other bikes then go back to the dvx then theres discomfort, but it goes away.
thats good that just the fenders break off, better then the entire plastic. I just broke 3 fenders off, bent the subframe, bent the bars, front left rim bent, axle bent. Bike did some cartwheels down a steep hill and came to a sudden stop upside down . Well i'm done til next spring lol. Going to save and work on the bike all winter.

Hi DVX Dude. I just saw your post about your fendersbreaking off. That really sucks. I am not happy with the plastics on my DVX at all not to mention the seat. Well the reason I'm writing is I stopped by the dealership that I bought my bike from and was comparing the DVX and the Z400 side by side to see if I could put the Z400's plastic on my bike and you can but along with the plastics and seat you will also have to purchase the mounting brackets. It looks like changing out the plastics, seat and brackets will cost around $1000. After finding out what it will cost to change over it looks like I will be waiting for a while lol. I noticed in your signature it says snorkal cap removed air box lid on. What is the snorkal cap and how are you able to run with your airbox lid on? After putting the K&N air filter and jetting on my bike I have to run with the lid off or it will start cutting out. Well good luck with your bike and hope to hear back from you.

Yeah the seat is different. I'm not familiar with the kawi's seat but the suzuki's seat is so much more comfortable and the back of the seat is wider.
